"THIRTEEN DAYS, THIRTEEN DAYS, only thirteen days until Christmas, mama!"
This was the joyous sound that came bounding down the steps this morning. My sons are bursting with excitement at the soon coming celebration of Christmas! It is a contagious joy to watch their excitement as gifts arrive from far-away family and the skirt of the tree becomes hidden under these colorful treasures.
Meditating on this before the Lord, Revelation 22:17 came to mind...
"The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' Whoever is thirsty let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life."
The first coming of the Lord was humble and meek with eternal significance. It is definately an event worth celebrating.
But, OH, the second coming will be glorious, terrible and brilliant and carry more significance than we can imagine! Those in Christ, His Bride, are looking forward with great anticipation, never forgetting it could be ANY DAY! Are we as excited and glowing with excitement about that second coming as my boys are this Christmas? Are we so grieved for those without Jesus that will experience a terrible second coming that we are bold to share Christ with those around us this Christmas?
Let us look forward to Christmas and allow it to remind us of the second coming of our Bridegroom. May you all be blessed this season. "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon!' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20)

I never really compared the difference between Christ's first coming and His second. WOW! Great post, girl, great post!
