Just GO!

I would like to vacation here:

Or maybe even here:

These are not expensive, elaborate places. But they are where I meet with the Lord Jesus the most. I often feel like Peter when Jesus took him and his two buddies up the mountain and was transfigured before them. In Matthew 17: 4 Peter sees his Lord like never before and he proclaims, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish I will put up three shelters-- one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."

I am with Peter on this one...let's just vacation right there where Jesus reveals Himself. In my morning quiet time, I am still before God, prayerfully hearing His voice and in the quietness I feel I can take on anything He calls me to. Five minutes pass and reality strikes...kids are up, hubby is filling me in on his day ahead, boys are laughing over getting dressed, cats are whining---or is that the kids again? phone is ringing and homeschooling books are calling...

I am reminded then of this first verse in Matthew 10, "He called his 12 disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness."

Jesus met with His disciples, gave them instructions and sent them on their way to do as He'd instructed.

Get instructions, GO do them!

That is my morning quiet time in a nutshell. Get instructions, then rather than linger all day at the feet of Jesus, I am to GO put feet to His word. Love like Jesus, serve with joy, listen with purpose and disciple these children towards Him.

Today I hear the urgent voice of the Lord...Do not just soak in the truth, GO and do as I have empowered you and called you to do! Serve your family with selflessness and pour yourself out as a drink offering for My sake.

So soak up some Jesus today, and then GO!! In His name and for His purpose!!

I've been enjoying my mornings this week. Finally, all the kids are back in action, and I have some quiet back into my routine.

As I unwrap this new season of living, I do so with changed perspective, wanting to grow toward whatever God has for me. I haven't a clue what that is, just trusting him for more.

Thanks for checking in with me.
